Granola, reimagined

Why No Oats?

It’s not that oats are bad. We simply built our Granola Bark around a different nutritional goal. By starting with nuts instead of oats, we created a granola that's low in sugar and carbs, but doesn't compromise on flavor or texture.

What is Granola Bark?

A different kind of granola made with nuts instead of oats. We bake it in one big sheet, then break it into nutty, bite-sized clusters.

Why nuts instead of oats?

After a Type 2 diabetes diagnosis in our family, we began paying closer attention to the food we ate. By building our recipe around nuts, not oats, we made a granola that’s low in sugar and carbs but doesn’t compromise on flavor or texture.

Ingredients & nutrition

Six simple core ingredients: almonds, walnuts, pecans, coconut, pure maple syrup and cinnamon. Each 1/4-cup serving contains 8g of carbohydrates, 4g of sugar and 0mg of sodium.

So, why “bark”?

One Big Sheet.
Countless Nutty Clusters.

We call it Granola Bark because it bakes up in one big sheet, almost like a piece of bark. We then break it into bite-sized clusters before bagging it.

The family behind River Kitchen Company
From our River Kitchen to yours

A real family. A real reason.

It Started in Ellen’s Kitchen.

After a Type 2 diabetes diagnosis in her family, Ellen searched for a granola that was lower in sugar and carbs and made with simple, recognizable ingredients. When she couldn’t find one she loved, she created her own.

A mother-and-son company built around one family recipe.

Today, Ellen and her son Bernard are bringing that recipe from their River Kitchen to families and independent markets across the country.
